In just her third season at MSOE, junior center Carol Cayo reached the 1,000-point plateau Tuesday night in the Raiders' 84-53 loss to Dominican at the Kern Center. Cayo had 11 points in the game and hit 1,000 points with 2:36 left in the second half with a free-throw. She is the seventh player in the history of the MSOE women's basketball program to reach 1,000 points. Cayo also had eight rebounds, five assists, three blocks and two steals against the Stars.

Junior forward Jamie Janczak led the Raiders with 14 points off the bench including two three-pointers. Also, freshman forward Shannon Larson added ten points off the pine along with seven rebounds. Sophomore forward Cate Scholfield had eight points and two three-pointers. 

MSOE (7-11, 4-7 NAC) will host Lakeland Saturday at 2 p.m.
